I was born in Nashville, Tennessee, graduated High School in Farmington, Missouri, enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps and served from 1965-1973, including a tour in Vietnam, and spent most of my time since as an over-the-road truck driver. I did two semesters at our local junior college and have taken many online courses in a variety of subjects plus workshops with two of the best people photographers in the world, Monte Zucker in 2006 and David A. Williams in 2008.
Retiring from truck driving in 2008, I spent the next three years at home before returning to driving part-time and I'm still doing it today.
Besides my family, my interests include photography, writing, and travel. I also like motorcycles and still have two parked in my garage but don't ride much anymore.
